The Wonderful Story of Our Holocaust  Scrolls

In 1964, around 1600 Czechoslovakian sacred Torah Scrolls, rescued  from the Holocaust,  arrived in London. The Memorial Scrolls Trust became their new home. Many scrolls have been lovingly restored and sent out on loan to communities all over the world. Some 20 years ago one of our members visited the Memorial Scroll Trust and found it incredibly moving to see two of these rescued scrolls. Her late father, Jack Wiseman, took on the task of bringing the two scrolls to Temple Shalom. We are immensly proud and and very blessed that these scrolls, one from Domazlice and one from Mlada Vozice, are now are in our care.
