Tu Bishvat is a minor Jewish holiday, occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat. It is also called "The New Year of the Trees" ( ראש השנה לאילנות Rosh HaShana La'Ilanot) . Tu Bishvat is one of four "New Years" mentioned in the Mishnah. This year, Tu Bishvat falls on Shabbat 10-11 February.

Tu BiShvat celebrates our links to nature. It has become tradition to celebrate this festival with the idea of eating symbolic foods to become aware of the seasons, the yield of nature and our social responsibilities.
