At the Death of a Loved One
Should a loved one be approaching death, you may wish our Rabbi to provide comfort and assistance to your family. Please contact the office or our President, to arrange this.
Following the death of a loved one, Funeral services can be arranged for the Queen Street, Southport Cemetery, (burial only); Allambe Gardens, Nerang (burial and cremation) or Funeral Home (cremation).
Funeral Services
Rabbi Adi Cohen will conduct a funeral service at no cost to members (there are, however, normal funeral costs that apply, determined by the funeral home of your choice). Rabbi Cohen will also conduct the stone setting service at no cost to members.
Fees apply for services provided to non-members.
A Shiva minyan can be conducted at Temple Shalom, or in the family home, after the funeral, should the family wish.
Proof of Jewishness is required in order to be buried in consecrated Jewish burial sites, or for a Jewish funeral service to be conducted.
